Transmission 1: What is this place?

I have arrived in the town of Drawing, a rather enigmatic village in the world of Visual Art. As a visitor from Music Land, this is all very strange. I don't know how hostile or helpful the natives are, or whether they acknowledge foreigners at all. There are construction sites all over the place, with bits and pieces of works in progress. This is very different than Music Land, where everything is kept under wraps until its grand unveiling. Things are much less formal in these parts. There are no boroughs or genres; everypony just sort of mingles as in a grand forum. I am somewhat nervous about my entrance.
